COVID-19 & Community Playgroups
Staying healthy takes a village. For all the latest information and resources regarding COVID-19 refer to the Australian Government Department of Health. For ideas and activities to stay active, well, and to create memories join us on social media and discover Playgroup at Home.
Following the latest government announcements on COVID-19, all non-essential gatherings both indoors and outdoors nationally are to be placed on hold until further notice. For the health and safety of our playgroup community, we request all playgroups to suspend sessions and join us instead online.
Our playgroup community recognises the importance of connection during this time of instability. So while physical distancing measures are in place, we are changing our approach to maintain social connections – which we know are essential to community wellbeing.
We encourage you to stay connected to people in your playgroup through establishing a private Facebook group and setting up a phone tree.
In addition, please join us on social media to share ideas for play at home, play and support amongst your online community and staying connected. Remember – this is temporary. We are stronger together and we will continue to support each other and bring joy through play.
