What are Intergenerational Playgroups?
Intergenerational playgroups seek to bring together multiple generations through a range of playgroup programs, supporting communities and nurturing relationships through play.

What is an Intergenerational Program?
Our Intergenerational Playgroup programs support parents and caregivers with children under 5 to connect with community services, with the aim of bringing together the young and young at heart – to build relationships through play.
Partnering with ABC TV + iview
Playgroup Australia has partnered with OPAN for the ‘Stay Connected and Supported in Your Community’ campaign in association with ABC TV + iview’s award-winning documentary series Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds. The delightfully inspiring season two, follows a group of older adults living alone who join a group of lively 4-year-olds in an intergenerational play school for learning, connection and friendship.

Our programs benefit individuals who start or join a playgroup, and organisations strengthening their community.
